Photos?

What is everyone taking pics of this minis in anyway? I don't have a photo box or anything I'm just using some white paper as background.

  1. Until I have time do anything more elaborate, I'm using my wife's digital camera (with some tutoring from her on how to handle it) and my copy of Dragon Warriors, opened to the white interior and propped beneath a desk lamp.

So far, it's worked out well enough!

  2. I use a collapsible, white cloth/satin lightbox that I just shine white lights against/into. I usually put a couple of sheets of white printer paper on the bottom to serve as the background.

For the photos I just use my small Casio digital. It has a macro mode and works fairly well.

  3. I bought a 'pop-up' lightbox from Amazon for under £20. It's a 40cm cube with an open front and four colored 'backsheets'. I use my painting lamp (Daylight PL lamp) and two other craft lamps to illuminate the box.

I take pictures using a digital compact (Canon PowerShot A710IS) usually in Macro mode. Typically I take pictures about 80-100cm from the subject but I can get much closer if needed.

I have been taking pictures like this for about 3 months and now that I have found what works I can get set up in just a few minutes.

  4. I made a lightbox with a cardboard box and tissue paper and I use my painting light defused through that. My painting light is a desktop ott light.

photos are taken on a Nikon Coolpix camera
